The SLP is a passive self-ligating bracket. Even with round or rectangular wire, its locking mechanism doesn't press the wire, reducing friction. However, its hooks allow for normal ligature use, adding friction if desired, providing control over when and where friction is applied. This bracket also offers low friction during rectangular wire use when closing gaps.
